Frequently Asked Questions

What is The Paradox Model?

The Paradox Model is a simple leadership framework that helps you move when you feel internally split.

It teaches you how to notice the two forces pulling you in opposite directions, identify what pattern is running you, and choose a next step that aligns both sides instead of letting one side dominate.

In practice, it trains four core tensions that show up in real leadership moments: Instinct vs Strategy, Exposure vs Protection, Disruption vs Stability, and Present Self vs Future Self.

Why does it matter? How does it differ from other leadership advice?

Most leadership advice tells you what you should do. The Paradox Model helps when you can’t do it because you feel pulled in two directions at once.

It gives you a simple way to understand the inner tug of war that is running you so that you can end the back and forth and move forward in confidence.

What results should I expect from using the Paradox Model?

You get better at responding when you feel torn between two reasonable options. Like, “Should I speak up or stay quiet?” “Should I push innovation or keep the status quo?”

You can expect to decide faster, second guess less, and communicate more clearly in real moments (think: meetings, conflicts, shifting priorities). Over time, you follow through more consistently because you’re no longer experiencing internal conflict over every stressful decision.

How did you come up with the 3-part process for making better decisions faster?

I did not start by trying to invent a “model.” I started by watching what happens in real leadership moments when the pressure is on and someone is stuck or feeling unsteady.
Over and over, I saw the same thing: ineffectiveness is not a personality flaw. It is an internal split. Two forces are pulling at you at the same time, and your brain treats that tension like a threat. So you stall, overthink, people-please, over-control, or swing to an extreme.
The 3-part process came out of what actually breaks that loop in the moment:
1. See It: See the tension so you stop confusing internal conflict with “Something is wrong with me.”
2. Name It: Name the pattern so you can tell what is driving you instead of being driven by it.
3. Change it: Choose the motion so you take a next step that aligns both sides, not just the loudest one.
That is why it leads to better decisions faster. Not because you learned a trick, but because you stopped fighting yourself long enough to move with congruence.
